 A balloon glow is a popular attraction at any hot air balloon festival, especially when it is set -off against a beautiful sunset. The glow takes place on Saturday evening at Parties on the Green launch field. For a balloon glow, the balloons stay stationary on the ground and "glow" or set off their burners at intervals.  Some of the glowing is synchronized amongst the balloons to make a spectacular artistic display. It is well worth an evening visit to the launch field to catch the sponsored Quincy Valley Balloon Festival hot air balloon glow.
