  9th Annual

Quincy Valley Balloon Festival & Pyrotechnics Experience

September 9-10, 2017

Presented by Quincy Valley Tourism

In conjunction with Quincy's Farmer Consumer Awareness Day, or FCAD as we call it in Quincy, we raise our forks and solute those farmers that feed people all over the world right here.  We celebrate the 2nd Saturday in September not only the agriculture in our beautiful area but tourism as well.   The open skies and surrounding area of the Quincy Valley is a fantastic area for Hot Air Balloons.  We like to end this fun day with a Balloon Night Glow and a fireworks show that is like no other.  Without the support of our community and the generous sponsors this event would not be at all possible.  If you would like to be a sponsor or donate to the cost of the event you are welcome to do so!

There are no rides of any kind sold at this event and are weather permitting.

Sunrise Launches are a spectaular photo opportunity.  Drones are not allowed in the air space of the Hot Air Balloons.

Schedule of Events

Saturday and Sunday balloons launch at sunrise, approximately between 6:00 and 6:30 am, from Lauzier Park in Qincy.   The public is welcome to come out and watch as the balloons take flight.  All launches are weather permitting and if there are changes we will post on Facebook or on this site.  We do our best to make all changes public. Don't forget to dress warm and bring your camera!

Saturday Evening

The location of the Nighglow and Fireworks will at Lauzier Park in Quincy.  Food Vendors and Beer/Wine Garden will be open at 6:00 pm.  There is no charge for admittance.  Bring your lawn chair, blanket, or something to sit on.  Make sure to dress for changing weather conditions.  The fireworks are very loud so we recommend bringing ear protection.  We do ask that you leave your pets at home.

Dusk-Hot Air Balloons will not lift off the ground but they will illuminate for a Nightglow.  As soon as the Balloons are taken down and all packed up the Pyrotechnics Experience by Northwest Pyrotechnics will begin.  Get ready to be amazed!
